Instructions for translators

Translation guildlines

  • Translate as close as possible to the source material. If there isn't a direct translation, ask how you should interpret it in the Discord, Telegram, or via email (listed on our website).
  • You can set whatever songs you want for global.ticker.noSongs 1-3
  • Informalness preferred
  • Ignore the curly braced text, this is just for templating.

Starting a translation

Make an issue on the git.gay repo. An admin will get to you ASAP.

Translation process
  • Translations can be made directly.
  • Translation suggestions can be made.
  • Any authenticated user can contribute.
  • The translation uses monolingual files.
  • The translation base language is editable.

Internally, we also temporarily store data about you and your downloads for a few reasons. At absolute minimum, we store what you input on our site, and if your download errors. We do this for a few reasons - mainly to combat abuse and just to generally serve you the downloads you want.
